What is a Bitcoin?

         

            A bitcoin is a new kind of digital currency.  Bitcoins were created in 2009.  The creator of bitcoins is unknown he uses a fake name Satoshi Nakamoto.  Bitcoins are untraceable. It allows people to buy merchandise anonymously.

          There is no middle man when it comes to bitcoins.  This means no banks.  It allows instant payments person to person to anybody anywhere in the world without transfer fees.

        

            The values of bitcoins are always changing much like the stock market.   There are some people who buy bitcoins as an investment in hopes that the value will go up!

How do you buy Bitcoins?

          

            First you have to create a bitcoins wallet.  A bitcoin wallet is a website or program that can hold and share bitcoins.  They also make transactions.

          

            Second find your bitcoin address.  After you create your bitcoin wallet login and click receive coins or it may say receive money.  On that page will be your bitcoin address.  Your bitcoin address is 34-36 characters in which it starts with a one. 

          

            Third you buy your bitcoin with cash.  To do that you will need to enter your bitcoin address in the search bar on the Blockchain.info homepage.  This page will show all of your transactions to and from your address.

The Oatmeal is a man named Matthew Inman.  This man created this humorous website (theoatmeal.com).  Everything on this website is created by him.  He draws and writes everything on his website!

Basically Engrish is a funny website that finds translations of other languages that when they are translated to English it doesn't make sense!

Myspace vs. Google+

    Myspace and Google+ are the same, but different! 

    Myspace and Google Plus are the same because they have both have hangouts and things like that!

   They are different because Myspace is more music oriented, but it also allows you to connect with people that like the same music as you.  It can also turn you onto some music that you may never listen to as well. It can give you different taste in music. 

  

   Google Plus lets you do hangouts with people in your circle but it really have more features than myspace does because it can allow you to share your screen with others. It also allows video sharing from Youtube.

Internet Music Players

Pandora is an internet radio that is pretty popular. It is defiantly not one of my favorite internet radio. You can skip twelve songs a day but only six songs per station. You can upgrade and pay a monthly fee and get unlimited skips!

This an internet radio that allows you to create customized radio stations. Much like many other internet radios does have an upgrade option with many other features. 

Spotify is pretty much like all of the other radios on the internet.  Most people pick their favorite one and then thats it there is no changing them. Its got a monthly fee if you would like to pay for features you wouldn't get if you used it for free.

 Grooveshark is another internet radio that is pretty much the same as all of the rest. Some have different features but they are all similar in ways.It like all of the rest is free unless you want to upgrade to a better services.

Photobucket- My favorite photo hosting website because it is so easy to use compared to other sites!



Flickr is also really easy to use compared to some other sites!




imageshack is pretty easy to use, but I still like Photobucket much better!

Photoshop! Psykopaint, PicMonkey, Sumopaint, BeFunky, and Photoshop Express Editor

BeFunky is probably my favorite photo editor, because not only can you edit your photos you can make collages! Like this!

On PicMonkey you can edit photos and you can make collages too, but I edited a photo on there.

They are all pretty much the same they just a few different features.  Different people prefer different editors, but my personal favorite is BeFunky!

How Social Media has Changed the World!

       Social media has made the world a better place in my own opinion.  In some cases with cyberbullying it has been bad, but in my personal opinion it has made the world better and easier to communicate with friends, family, and loved ones that you can't physically be with. It has made it easier to communicate with people you went to school with and it also makes it easier not to lose touch with somebody you care about.
      Some people take advantage of social media and make peoples lives miserable by bullying them over the internet, but in most cases it really helps people to connect with the world I think.  I think that the world would be a total different place if there was no social media, but there wouldn't be near as much communication with people.
      I know in my life without social media I probably wouldn't talk to anybody.  It also helps when you are in school because you can also send a message to somebody in your class and ask what the homework is or ask for help on the homework. It defiantly makes my life easier.
